I grew up in a small town called Morris, Illinois. Figured out quickly that it was not the place for me. My father died when I was 12, so I learned early that if it was to happen it was up to me.
I went off to College at Central College in Pella, Iowa. Graduated with a Teaching Degree in German and immediately could not find a position. Learned to be flexible and that Life is always changing.
Married my best friend in life, Kathy. We have been married 30 years and while it has not always been easy, it has been great to grow and learn together.
Worked as a Dispatcher for a trucking company, while studying at night for an Associates Degree in Electronics. Began working for a Cable TV Company at the bottom and quickly worked my way up to Head Technician.
Went to work for a Satellite Communications Company and worked up to Manager of the Earth Station. Before becoming Manager a lot of mergers and acquisitions were taking place. That was the beginning of instability in the market.
I started learning computers and I will really date myself by letting you know that I started with a Timex Sinclair computer. I graduated to a Commodore 64 and then on to an Amiga. That was a cool computer, but then the IBM PC came along. I had already seen what happened between Beta and VHS. If you don’t know what I just said that is okay.
Basically I switched to the PC. Received an Associates Degree in Computer Science. During this time I started hearing something about the Internet and I was hooked. Learned how to do html coding and then let Frontpage do the tedious work. Started to learn about Internet Marketing and made all the mistakes one could make. What is it that is said? Fail your way to success.
In the meantime the Satellite business was going a different route and the company that I was with offered me a position in New Mexico managing a Fiber Optic Communication Network in the state. We had wanted to retire in New Mexico, but the move came a little sooner than we thought. As I mentioned, the industry was very volatile and the position went away and that is the beginning of having go on the road in order to just have a job. Honestly, that was not much fun. I was out on the road at one time for a year with one break to get back home.
During that time, I was not idle. I kept learning about marketing and systems and how one could make a living on the Internet. So, when the time came and many of us were laid off, I hit the ground running.
At my site, you will see what is working for me. Hopefully you can see that I work hard and will be there for you, if you decide to join me in any of my ventures.
As I mentioned, we live in New Mexico and we love it. The sunsets are so beautiful that one must see them to really experience them. We have two wonderful dogs that take us for a walk every day. One is a hundred pound lab and the other is sixty-five pound black and tan hound mix.
My mother, also lives with us. That is not always easy, but I am glad that I can do that for her.
