Living on the high desert has its surprises. At least once a year I get to be “The Rattlesnake Wrangler”. lol Well, today was the day. Our dogs were barking very loud and I could not see anything that would cause them to do so. By now, though, I could tell that they were very aggitated and that usually means rattlesnake. Sure enough there was a 3 foot snake in our backyard. After having lived here for 10+ years, I am at the ready for their arrival. I have a homemade loop made from pvc and rope and it is quite easy to let the snake go into the loop and then I tighten the rope from the other end of the pvc. I then moved him or her to the field behind our house.
To shift gears now and talk about wordpress plugins. Some plugins can be slithery like snakes and mess up your whole blog, so you have to be careful. A plugin that I use for social bookmarking is called Add To Any. This plugin can be found in your wordpress back office under the add new section of plugins. What it allows you to do is place a button at the end of everyone of your posts and people can then click it and there will be a menu of most of the bookmarking, email and social sites listed. They can then choose which ones to use. You will see that button at the end of this post. You can also show individual icons for each site. Very cool and it works well.
